Tahiti Outfitters (1997-2003)

This was my personal business with which I provided a variety of tourism related services including: adventure travel trips, private tours, educational field courses, and expedition logistics. In the adventure travel sector I have designed, arranged, and guided adventure travel trips and private tours for the following companies: Wilderness Travel, Mountain Travel Sobek, Explorer’s Corner, Geographic Expeditions, Sweetwater Travel, and Cox and Kings. I have organized and taught field courses in French Polynesia for a variety of universities and colleges and done extended guided programs for university alumni and museum groups including Berkeley, Harvard, Smithsonian, and the American Museum of Natural History. I managed the logistics for a National Geographic expedition in the Tuamotu Archipelago, and have consulted extensively with international media in issues concerning natural and cultural history (usually at the request of the Tahiti Tourism board).
