Coronavirus Update June 2nd 2020
To All International Passengers, Agents, Tour Operators and Partners,
The French Polynesian Government has cleared Aranui to resume normal cruise operations from July, with some changes to health and hygiene measures set to be announced in the coming weeks.
As there are still expected to be travel restrictions in place due to the pandemic, we will recommence passenger service with one locals’ cruise on July 18, 2020.
Voyage No. 12 will sail as originally scheduled with normal itinerary.
These special voyages will also be open to any international travelers who are permitted to travel to Tahiti at this time.
Aranui will replace the usual ports of Fakarava, Rangiroa and Bora Bora with Makatea and Apataki (Tuamotu archipelago), which aren’t easily accessible to holidaymakers. The 13-day itinerary will still include the six inhabited Marquesas Islands where Aranui 5 will deliver cargo, as it has continued to do during the pandemic.
Until normal operations resume, please note the latest updates to the 2020 schedule, terms and conditions:
- Voyages 10 & 11 have been canceled. All passengers on these voyages will be offered a Future Cruise Credit which can be redeemed on any Aranui 5 voyage in 2021 or 2022. No penalties or rebooking fees will apply. These passengers may consider changing to one of the special voyages if they are allowed to travel to Tahiti at this time.
- REMINDER – Aranui has amended its cancellation policy. Passengers booked on ongoing voyages in 2020 can cancel their cruise with no penalties or fees if cancellations are made up to 30 days before a scheduled departure. If cancellation occurs less than 30 days before departure, the full fare will be forfeited.
- REMINDER – Aranui has amended its payment policy. For passengers booked on voyages in 2020, final payments will now be due 60 days prior to departure instead of 90 days prior to departure
*All new bookings for 2021 are subject to Aranui’s normal standard terms and conditions, cancellation, refund, and payment policies.
